Pink lily flowers are almost always present on special occasions in my house. Such as big holidays, hari raya, birthdays, when someone are graduated, someone get promotions and others occasions.

Because this flower is often at home, so I am interested in painting it, it is observed, photographed from all directions and displayed for days in the room. The sketching process is fast but the rendering process takes quite a long time (more than a month). Rendering begins with watercolour, at the detailing stage, a touch of colour pencil is added in some parts.

The presence of pink lily makes the atmosphere cheerful, and has beautiful fragrant especially at night. The name ‘lily’ comes from the Latin word ‘lilium’. They denote the beautiful delicate flower. Pink lilies are known for their association with love and romance. Besides pink lilies symbolize affection, new love, admiration, femininity and fertility. Their pink colour conveys a feeling of affection, kindness and tenderness. Stargazer lilies are often found in a vibrant pink colour, a wealth of symbolism. The pink shade is thought to symbolize prosperity, abundance and success. Stargazer lilies are a hybrid lily that naturally bloom in mid to late summer.
