Saniyatun Mar'atus Solihah
Sani, as she is fondly called, is a botanist and botanical artist whose daily life revolves around plants. As a writer and mother of two, she
finds inspiration in her activities, creating writings and botanical paintings/illustrations from nature and the plants around her.
For her, botanical painting is a means of meditation to create awareness and maintain her mental health so that she can realize her potential, be more productive, and be more enthusiastic about life.
Her works have been exhibited at the Indrokilo Botanical Garden Boyolali, Sangkring Art, The Shalimar Boutique Hotel, the National Gallery, the Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney, and the Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan. Her botanical paintings/illustrations also often adorn scientific publications and botanical books.
For Sani, botany is the science of beauty, and she hopes that complex scientific messages can be conveyed through botanical art.
