Spathodea, the subject of my botanical artwork reminds me of my childhood. We used to call it the ki-acret flower tree (the squirting tree). Its trumpet-shaped flowers indeed easily collect rainwater. As a child, I used to play with these flowers by pressing the base to squirt water. The tree is large and tall, and during the blooming season, its dense flowers look beautiful.
