Arachis sp. depicted in this artwork is a common ornamental plant often found as ground cover. Like other members of the Fabaceae family, Arachis sp., along with soil bacteria, contributes to the nitrogen cycle on Earth. Morphologically, arachis has trailing stems, compound leaves with four leaflets and beautiful bright yellow flowers. In this artwork, the entire plant is depicted in black and white to highlight the beauty of the morphology of all parts of the plant, not just its flowers. This beautiful plant became my favorite during elementary school and was one of the reasons and the beginning of my interest in the world of plants. I used A4-sized drawing paper and H, 2B, and 4B pencils to draw this species. The challenge in completing this artwork was to ensure the accuracy and suitability of the plant sketches.
