In my cozy room, I picked up my brush, drawn to the cheerful orange of a citrus fruit. The bright colour always brings me joy. As I painted, I watched videos and photos of citrus from different places, feeling inspired by their beauty.

Using my favorite media, watercolour on paper, I brought the citrus to life on my paper. But painting wasn’t just about capturing its likeness; it was about sharing the happiness it represents – a symbol of abundance and joy.

As I worked, I thought about what this artwork meant to me. It wasn’t just about a fruit; it was about finding joy in life’s simple pleasures.

Finding the right citrus for my exhibition was a challenge, but when I saw the perfect one, I knew it was meant to be. And so, “YOLA’s Happy Citrus” became not just a painting, but a reflection of my love for bright colours and spreading happiness through my art.
